Empathy Toy

Unlearn the Language of Judgement and Improve Communication

Suitable For: Businesses, Families, Schools

Using the Empathy Toy, our certified practitioners facilitate groups through opportunities to practise overcoming communication barriers and improve empathy and collaboration.

The Empathy Toy has been featured on two TEDx talks – one on designing for empathy & communication, the other a rallying cry for play in our school systems.

The game is based on the idea that empathy and play allow us to understand different perspectives and imagine new possibilities.

The real magic of the game is the situation it puts the players in - one in which they can only depend on their words and where clarity is essential. All participants must learn to communicate.

This means both speaking clearly and listening well. By trying to understand the other and building a common language they realize that their own point of view is only one among many. Participants become comfortable in the judgement-free environment and highlighting what might otherwise be a sensitive personal tendency when it comes to communicating with others is more easily approached.

The communication strategies learned by playing the game can then be applied to solve personal disputes and office issues.

Learn the Language of Colours: The Hows and Whys of Our Actions

Suitable For: Businesses, Families, Schools

On the road to excellence, a team needs to speak the same language. It needs to understand and appreciate the different behavioural styles, skills, and motivations of its members. Through games and activities based on behavioural psychology, the Chameleon Communicator strengthens teams and empowers leaders, giving participants a clearer understanding of themselves and others.

The Chameleon Communicator is the foundation of the all of our programs. Learn first how we see the world and affirm what it is that motivates each of us individually (our Hows and our Whys). Then learn how that relates to others and how we can each adapt our expectations and understanding to avoid unnecessary conflict and enhance future interaction.

The Prioritized Leader

This is for leaders who want to be crystal clear about their priorities. The Prioritized Leader provides a framework of prioritization leading to organizational success.

Suitable For: Businesses

We provide participants a clear framework to better understand what priorities need to be at the top, their personal level of strength within each priority, and suggested next steps to grow their leadership skills. The framework is:

  • Purpose: It’s about knowing and living the “why” of your organization, being able to articulate a clear and compelling future. The currency is vision and values.

  • People: The level of health and productivity we have with our colleagues and connections. The currency is encouragement and accountability.

  • Pace: Discerning how fast (or slow) the organization needs to move to sustain long-term success, capitalize on opportunities, and preserve capital. The currency is time and energy.

  • Perception: Choosing a growth mindset, staying open to creative solutions and new ideas. The currency is insight and innovation.

  • Profit: The effective management, investment and release of an organization’s resources. The currency is dollars and cents.
